We ended up without a representative yesterday as our fancy, Beachwood Boy ,was scratched. He probably wanted to be at the beach instead rather than at icy cold
Dunstall Park.Can't say I blame the nag.Anyway I have a tip for you,dear readers and this one is due to run in the 1.40 at Southwell. BIRD DOG is the pick in this race and he is quoted at around 14/1 in the betting.This horse is a real course specialist at Southwell having run a number of creditable races here .He hasn't had a whole lot of success but has a victory over the course and distance to his name.He has had 14 career starts winning twice.In his last start he finished behind a couple of these but I expect that he will turn the tables on them today.What I like with this horse is his ability to blaze a trail usually getting several lengths ahead in the first couple of furlongs.I believe that those tactics will be seen to good effect today and I see this horse making every pole a winning one .BIRD DOG therefore gets the call in the 1.40 race at Southwell.
