TOMINATOR TO WIN IMPERIAL CUP.

Howizee, our selection at Ayr yesterday, could only finish fourth and a well beaten fourth at that, having no chance with the impressive Mc Cain  trained winner. We are therefore still searching for that elusive first winner and are keeping our fingers crossed that our luck will change with today's selection TOMINATOR, the mount of Davey Costello and trained by the maestro ,Jonjo O'Neil. This horse runs in the 15.15 @ Sandown Park,in the class 1 Paddy Power Imperial Cup over a distance of 2mls and a wee bit where the going is said to be heavy. The selection is quoted presently in the betting as the second favorite showing at odds of 8/1.The Paul Nicholls  trained  Mr Mole is all the rage in the betting market and that horse is now the  10/3  favorite. TOMINATOR  is a dual winner over hurdles being still a novice.but the last of those two victories came over this very course and distance on similar heavy ground conditions when he ran out a very comfortable winner of a warm race.He is an experienced racer on the flat and is quite accustomed  to running in big field races.  We expect that TOMINATOR will give a very positive showing today and in so doing ,provide us with  some much needed funds to attack the Bookies next week for the festival.Best of luck with this one today.

HOWIZEE TO WIN THE 15.10 @ AYR.

We were desperately unlucky yesterday with our selection Chesil Beach  Boy who looked all over a winner until the very last strides, losing by a neck to Jumps Road. The selection returned at 8/1 so those that backed this horse each way were still able to walk away with some extra cash . We've been up and running for four days now and we've had two  unplaced  selections  and two second places  [@ 9/2 and 8/1].We  are yet to find our first winner but we believe that today's selection will put that right. Our nap of the day runs in the 15.10 @ Ayr, a class 3 Handicap Hurdle over a distance of 3mls and a bit . There is one non runner from the original field leaving 13 horses to face the starter. Our fancy here is the No 3 Horse, HOWIZEE  a course and distance winner, trained by M.A.Barnes and ridden by M.J Mc Alister. HOWIZEE  is presently quoted in the betting market at a mouth watering 12/1  and I for one , am going to take full advantage of such a generous price. Timeform says that our selection is not a fluent jumper but  yet he has three hurdles victories to his name over this sort of trip and ground. He has yet to enter the winners enclosure this season but has run creditably in all his starts except perhaps his last one when he finished  well beaten behind Monetary Fund in January.Prior to that ,he ran an excellent race to finish 6th in a  very competitive big field  at Cheltenham. Howizee will not be running at the festival so today will be his big day to prove himself  and we are  confident that this horse has what it takes to land this race and  in comfortable fashion as well. HOWIZEE is our nap selection and we will be backing this horse with confidence.Best of luck to all and as usual, each way betting is the advice.

CHESIL BEACH BOY TO ROMP HOME TODAY.

No luck with our selection yesterday and so we are still searching for our first winner after three days. We firmly believe that  wrong will be put right  today in the Bathwick Tyres Handicap Hurdle for class 3 horses over a distance of 2 mls over at Wincanton  where the going has been described as good to soft. Eight runners go to post  for this contest  carded to run off @ 15.00  and we are very confident that our fancy in this race ,CHESIL BEACH BOY ,will go on to land the spoils. He is presently quoted in the betting at an attractive 11/2 ,generous odds in my view for this three time  course and distance  winner [hatrick].He also finished a gallant fifth in the Imperial Cup at Sandown Park. All of his course and distance wins have come on similar ground  so he is certainly going to relish conditions today. This is actually his sixth start of the current campaign  and his last race was at Taunton in a heavy ground affair over 2mls 1fur where  he finished  9lths  behind  Barizan in 4th place in a six horse field..That may have been a bit of a disappointment for connections who will be looking for their charge to rebound over his favored course and distance today. CHESIL BEACH BOY ,therefore, is our selection for today and so I wish everyone best of luck with this selection.

ROCKWEILLER TO WIN THE 18.30 @ KEMPTON.

Our selection yesterday,M.J Woodward finished a gallant second but was no match for the well ridden winner,Clubland. This brings us to our selection for today and we look to the 18.30 @Kempton Park  in search of  our first winning bet. This is a 14 runner contest over a distance of 10 furs. for class 6 horses. We fancy the chances of the No7 horse, ROCKWEILLER  [drawn 1] the mount of Graham Lee and trained by S.Gollings. This horse has won four races at this distance but has been off the track since August of last year. When last seen ,it was over this course and distance when he finished in 5th position ,beaten 4lths by My Mate  Jake.He is now back on the racecourse after that long layoff and I expect him to win first time out as he is a horse that clearly does well when fresh. He proved that in May of last year over this course and distance ,winning on his return from a break and he races today on a  lower mark than his last winning one. He is up against some fit animals ,and with a field of 14 runners to contend with, his price is expected to remain an attractive one [10/1] . I rate this horse a solid each bet . I think that his very shrewd Trainer has found  the ideal opportunity  for his charge  to  make a winning reappearance  and he has secured the services of Graham Lee to ensure things go as planned. ROCKWEILLER is my very confident selection to land the spoils and give this blog it's first winner after our long layoff.Best of luck to all with the selection.

OFF TO A HORRIBLE START.

Well we started off yesterday with a horse who lost the race at the starting gates. Our selection ,FINAL DELIVERY, walked out of the starting stalls and could not recover from that terrible start. He finished well beaten  and were it not for the preceding race winners,Crew Cut and Buckland, I personally would have ended the day,a sore loser. As it tuned out,I managed to back both of the above named horses and so the loss by Final Delivery in the final race of the day did not trouble my bank balance but did cause a dent to my reputation.Nevertheless, the show must go on and so that brings me to the selection for today which I trust ,will get us off the mark at our second attempt. M.J .WOODWARD is the selection and he is priced at a mouth watering  8/1 and this horse runs in the 2.40 @ Southwell over a distance of 5 furs. The selection will have in the saddle to assist him ,the very capable Joe Fanning  while his handler is the shrewd Paul Green. The selection is drawn in Stall 2  and carries  9st,2lbs.His form figures in his last five starts read 41118 so he is clearly a very consistent animal. That last start according to Timeform can safely be ignored and in fact,he has won 5 of his last 7 starts. He has won 6 times on the all weather [ 3FB,3PO]. Although  finishing in eight position  in his last start,he only finished three lengths behind the winner,Lucky Dan. This is certainly not an open and shut case as there are quite a few animals that could potentially land the spoils. As a result,we can expect the selection ,M.J.Woodward to return to the winner's enclosure at around his presently quoted price of 8/1.This horse is certainly a game and genuine animal who will no doubt  display his true ability  and will ,in my opinion ,cut down his rivals to size. M.J Woodward  therefore,is my selection  for Tuesday 5th March 2013 and,as always each way bets is the advice.Best of luck with this selection.

FINAL DELIVERY TO BOWL THEM OVER.

My first selection back from a long break, not from the actual  game itself ,but from  offering  this free tipping service ,runs in the 18.30 @ Kempton Park. This race is over a distance of 1ml ,3furs and is for class 6 horses with a field of 14  expected to face the starter at the off. My selection in this fairly competitive event is the No 14 horse,FINAL DELIVERY, the mount of Nathan Alison [5] and trained by R Boyle. FINAL DELIVERY is quoted in the betting at 20/1,a very generous price indeed for a horse that I confidently expect to romp home an easy winner. The selection is a previous winner, albeit of a selling race ,over a distance of 10 furs.at Yarmouth. That was in April last year.He has not won over today's trip which is a furlong further. The trip though.should be well within his capabilities and on that score,I have no worries. He is back on the racecourse after a three month break and has dropped to a very attractive mark  with the very capable apprentice taking a further 5lbs off his back. His last start was over 10 furs. at this venue  where he was noted being given a very tender ride  which caught the eye of seasoned observers. He immediately, was penciled in to the notebooks of keen observers who saw his performance that day and so, I doubt the overnight odds of 20/1 would hold ........although, this being a pretty competitive race,I still expect him to return  to the winners enclosure at very attractive odds.FINAL DELIVERY therefore gets my vote to bowl this page off to a flying start for 2013 and remember to back back the selection each way.Best of luck to all.

U.K. Horse Racing Tips: Well I had taken some time off as I was otherwise ...: Well I had taken some time off as I was otherwise occupied and just didn't have the time to fully dedicate myself to the task of picking...
Well I had taken some time off as I was otherwise occupied and just didn't have the time to fully dedicate myself to the task of picking Winners on a daily basis. I'm  now  back on track, batteries fully recharged and rearing to break out of the starting gates. The big meeting at Cheltenham is but a few days away and I feel confident that I have a few good priced winners waiting to unleash on the  bookies.I'm usually at my best for this meeting and I expect that trend to continue uninterrupted. From Monday 4th  March 2013,this blog will once again be fully operational  and I will be providing ,free of charge ,one selection per day as my banker or day's best value bet and readers can expect that my selections will all return at handsome odds. This page will not be selecting odd's on or cramped odd's horses. If you want an odd's on winner ,buy a newspaper as those tipsters usually give those type of selections. While I shall be concentrating on providing  at least one value priced selection per day,I would also at times ,provide alternative selections on other races, especially at the Festival. For that meeting ,I will provide my day's best bet together with my selections for each of the other races on the day's card. My first selection will be out for Monday's racing so interested persons could look forward to my return then. Until then, here's wishing you all best of luck and I look forward to providing my readers with top class racing tips..........free of charge.
